Rise and Ride are road and mountain bike program for beginner and intermediate riders. We welcome all levels or cyclists and encourage those who are new. If you are new to road cycling or mountain biking, we want to help you get riding!

Rise and Ride Mountain Bike Mandatory Gear List

*most gear is available at Tri It Multisport (1703 10th Ave SW), or on their website at tri-it.ca

MOUNTAIN BIKE:

  • mountain Bike (no fat bikes or other bikes please) in working order. Please have a tune up PRIOR to the start of the first session. 

  • bike helmet – fits properly and is no more than 5 years old

  • cycling shorts and bike jersey

  • a light Jacket

  • full fingered bike gloves 

  • tire levers

  • spare tube - even if your bike is set up with tubeless tires, it is a good idea to carry a tube as a backup.

  • Bike Pump or CO2 Inflator

  • bike-specific multi-tool

  • a chain and a quicklink/masterlink

  • backpack to carry everything in with a hydration bladder

  • snacks and hydration - snacks are not only delicious, but they are essential to keep you riding at full speed all the way back to the parking lot

  • full charged cell phone
